Imagination (a poem written by Efxaris Arampatzi)
Once upon a beautiful, delightful time
Dreams from imaginations came true in real life
In my own imagination we are in love
And wish upon stars in the sky that shine bright all night longIn my imagination I don’t have to do anything or even try
In my creative mind you too fall in love with me at first sight
Just by looking into my eyes you think “she’s the one”
But in this real life nation you found your girl and I’m not the oneIn my dream-world, you’d never break my heart, you wouldn’t dare
For once, you’d care, not just in passing, but truly be there
You’d notice the little things, what I do and what I see
Watch me in my dress, taking a walk, barefoot by the seaIn my imagination I can see the tuxedo you’ll wear
I can see people throwing rice that ends up sitting on your hair
Each kiss we give feels like a promise we share
But in this real life nation the only thought of you I’m told to have, is bareI beg you to imagine our happily ever after
One like a fairytale where we are together
If I was lucky nobody would have to imagine it, it would be true
But in this real life nation some are born blessed, some are cursed, so what should I do?(Let me know your thoughts and if you are a writer share your your work here, I would love to see it!)
