Hair holds memories (a poem written by Efxaris Arampatzi)
They say hair holds memories
mine carried more than most suppose
Not just laughs or sunlit days
but battles I won closeSome scars lie on my body
some are buried out of view
I’ve worn them all in silence
unsure what I should or shouldn’t undoToday I’ve cut my hair
a blunt, short, fresh line
Not to forget the past
but only to say this moment is mineI could embrace the marks
or let them slip away
Each and every path is brave
So I will choose my own, day by day(Let me know your thoughts and if you are a writer share your your work here, I would love to read it!)
